Red King Crab Selects

The Alaskan Red King Crab, a native of the Bering Sea, is caught along the coastlines of the Kodiak archipelago, Bristol Bay and Norton, using box shaped traps or crab pots. They are caught during the months of October to January and are the most craved of crab species on the world market.

The selects are an assortment of the choicest parts of our Red King Crab for sale, which is snow white with a pinkish outer skin and bright red shell. The meat has a tender meaty texture with a deliciously unique, sweet tasting flesh.

Red King Crab Selects have a range of nutrients and can be easily cooked. Grilled or steamed, they are one of the best delicacies out there.

How to properly defrost frozen seafood: We recommend that all frozen seafood be defrosted by placing product in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours depending upon the density. Never force thaw a product by running it under water (hot or cold as it can cook the product). Not only does this reduce the flavor, but it is also a health hazard.

Order King Crab online from Anderson Seafoods, and experience high quality seafood that has never tasted so good.

Grill Cooked Red King Crab with Garlic Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • Some parsley leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 pound 5 to 7 ounce Red King Crab Selects

Directions:

Completely thaw out the Red King Crab and slice pieces in half lengthways. Place them on a medium to highly heated grill, shell down and brush with some butter and lightly season with salt and pepper. Cook for 8 minutes then turn and cook for another 4 minutes. Remove from grill and set the crab on a serving plate. In a small sauce pan melt the butter and add the garlic and parsley. When the butter begins to bubble and becomes aromatic remove from the flame, drizzle over the grilled crab and enjoy. This can be served with some grilled potatoes and red onions.
